Tagged Sync for reMarkable is made by one person. I am Thomas Hochbichler. I run hochbichler.com - IT Services e.U., a one-person IT company in Weyer, Austria. The plugin is written, tested and supported by me alone.

Why it exists

I write on a reMarkable and keep my notes in Obsidian. For a long time the way between the two was copying by hand. I wanted the tablet's pages to arrive in the vault on their own, as text I can search and link. So I wrote the plugin: tag a notebook on the tablet, and it shows up in Obsidian. The first release was on 28 July 2026.

What it is, and what it is not

It is an Obsidian community plugin. The source is public on GitHub; everything outside the Pro folder is Apache 2.0. Your notes never pass through a server of mine. There is no account with me, no telemetry and no subscription. Pro is an optional add-on with a one-time price. Polar Software Inc. sells it, so payment, invoices and refunds are with them, not with me.

It is not a product of reMarkable AS and not endorsed by them. “reMarkable” is their trademark, used here only to say what the plugin works with.
